The piano tuner was there...or "We've tuned them all!"

When you add it all up we've been tuning pianos for a long time! We've worked on so many pianos for so many interesting and wonderful people in many everyday and bizarre places. From granny's old upright piano to brand spanking-new concert grands. From the dungeons of jazz dives to the concert stages and concert halls the piano tuner was there. For little 8 year old Johnnies who's feet can't yet reach the pedals and the intense undergrad students locked into some grueling practice regimethe piano tuner was there.  We've tuned in churches, on yachts, on movie sets, at mardi gras', at universities, schools and colleges. In so many homes, and with so many kids going through the grades the piano tuner has shown up and we've had our lunch stolen out of our bags by their dogs while our backs were turned as we pinged away at the top treble. We've had their cats stare us out for a 2 hour piano tuning. As piano tuners we have been attacked by a flock of parrots as we tried to make a dash for the bathroom and met bunny rabbits hopping down the passage to see what all the noise was about only to find that the piano tuner was there again. We've tuned pianos on the back of trucks, we've tuned pianos in boiling hot green-houses for potty professors who play Prokofiev to plants. We've tuned pianos on roof tops, pianos on the streets, pianos that people have for pleasure though no-one ever plays.  In the middle of the desert, on the rocks by the sea shore the piano tuner was there.  Atop mountain peaks overlooking the ephemeral city of Kathmandu...well not really, but you get the idea. If there ever was a piano out there that needed tuning (and it would) you can be sure that the piano tuner was there.
